The battlefield is shifting in Shuffle Tactics, the tactical fantasy deckbuilder from developer Club Sandwich and publisher The Arcade Crew (Infernax, Blazing Chrome). Ahead of its June 24 release on Steam, the game’s latest trailer introduces Fletch, a newly playable hero who brings a defense-heavy style and his brand of peasant pride to the fight against corruption.
Fortify Your Squad with Fletch
Fletch is all about structure-based strategy. He sets up defenses mid-battle to shield allies and control space, making him an ideal pick for players who like to slow the pace and force enemies into bottlenecks. He’s also got a serious chip on his shoulder when it comes to the crown, bringing working-class fury to the corrupted forces of King Ogma.
The demo also introduces:
- Two new boss-tier enemies for randomized runs
- Two new sidekicks—choose from five, but only two per run
- Expanded cards, relics, and charms, now totaling one-third of the final game’s full arsenal
- Two unique biomes: the rain-slick slums of The Deluge and the monster-lurking forest of The Snarl
Grid Combat Meets Deckbuilding in Asteria
Shuffle Tactics blends turn-based grid combat, roguelite progression, and card-based skills to create a tactical playground with flashy combos and devastating chain attacks. Choose from multiple loadouts, reposition enemies, exploit terrain and elevation, and piece together an arsenal of relics and charms that synergize with your chosen playstyle.
From the fire-wielding Doberknight to now Fletch’s fort-building ways, each run offers fresh tools and challenges. With medals for fastest clears, lowest damage taken, and biggest single-hit damage, strategy fans looking to optimize every move will have plenty to chase.
The dark fantasy of Asteria is wrapped in gorgeous 2D pixel art characters over dynamic 3D environments, creating a uniquely textured battlefield where even elevation matters.
Shuffle Tactics launches June 24 on Steam.
